Mabel ("we") helps families pick something to watch. This policy explains what we collect and why, in plain English.

What we collect

Account info from Google Sign-In: your name, email address, and profile photo.
What you tell Mabel: the people in your household (names, ages or birthdays), the streaming services you have, titles you mark as watched or rate, and the requests you search for.

Why we collect it

Only to make your recommendations better and keep them appropriate for whoever is watching. That is the entire purpose.

What we do NOT do

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not share your information with anyone except the service providers below that make Mabel work.

Children

Mabel is meant to be used by parents and guardians. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create their own accounts. When you add a child's age or profile, we use it only to filter out content that is not appropriate for them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Service providers we use

Google / Firebase: sign-in and secure data storage.
TMDB: movie and TV information, posters, and ratings.
AI providers (such as Groq, Google, and others): process your request text to generate recommendations.
Resend: sends account and notification emails.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing admin@mabelbot.com.

Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top.
